This is what it says in Ephesians 3:20. This is a very familiar scripture. “Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination. He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.” So can you imagine God—the dreamer of dreamers, right? He made us in his image with a desire for us to dream with him. So what do you think our enemy wants to do? Squash that dreamer in us. And so let’s get a little holy anger, a little righteous indignation at our enemy, who’s tried to squash the dreamer in us, and break out of all those limitations. The enemy wants to capture your imagination, my imagination, but we have to capture our thoughts instead. This is what it says in 2 Corinthians 10:5. “We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God—” every vain imagination that opposes God— “and break every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance against the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.” So the enemy wants to fill our heart and our mind with his imagination, and that’s not what we want to fill us.
